Laura + Adam 9.15.12

Laura and Adam hands down had the coolest wedding I have ever been a part of.  Laura was the Queen of DIY and her family/friends rallied with her and helped out wherever they could.  The day before the wedding, Laura, her mom, and grandmother were purchasing flowers from the local farmer's market.  They did an amazing job pulling together all the bouquets, boutonniers, corsages, and all the centerpieces!  I was totally blown away!
Everything took place at Elodie Farms in Rougemont, NC.  One of the great parts about Elodie Farms is their "farm to table" catering philosophy.  Everything was locally sourced or came straight from Elodie Farms.  I got to try the farm's goat cheese and it was delicious!  If you are ever at the Durham Farmer's Market, look for Dave's booth and buy some of their cheese!  In addition to the tasty treats the farm provided, Laura and Adam had Smokey Dave's serve some of the tastiest pulled pork NC-style BBQ I have had.  Dave and his team did an amazing job setting up the buffet and serving some delicious southern comfort food.
A HUGE "thank you" to Richard Barlow Photography for doing an amazing job capturing Laura & Adam's wedding day.  You are a rock star and we cannot wait to work with you again!

Totally in love with the bridesmaid dresses!

How amazing is this shot?!

This is one of my fav's  :)

Okay, this one is my fav!!!

Laura & Adam - thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your special day.  It was an honor to be there and we wish you many years of happiness together!

Kelly + Mark 9.8.12

Mark and Kelly were married on one of those typical late summer/early fall days we get to have here in good 'ole NC.  The leaves had just started to change, the sun was shinning, with a perfect temperature for outdoor mingling.  The ceremony was held at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Fuquay-Varina.  Following the ceremony, guests made their way over to Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs.  At the park, guests couldn't help but take in the beautiful views of Bass Lake and all the lush wildflowers.
Cook Shack provided delicious BBQ and pulled pork!  We love working with these guys!  Stick Boy Bakery whipped up a super-yummy cake that all the guests were raving about!  Best part about Mark & Kelly's special day?  When that pesky rain came during their reception, no one let it ruin their fun!!  Practically everyone was out there dancing in the rain, having an amazing time!
Special 'Thank You!' to Jeremy M. Lange Photography for sharing their amazing shots of Mark & Kelly's special day.

Cassidy + Derrick 4.21.12

What's more fun that the State Fair?!  Popcorn, candy apples, funnel cakes, fried Twinkies... the list is endless.  And this is exactly what Cassidy and Derrick where thinking of when they started planning their wedding!  Both of their families LOVE the fair!  They look forward to it every year, so naturally the happy couple wanted to try encorporating their mutual love affair into their special day.
Cassidy did an amazing job of mixing purples, viberant fucshias, oranges, and yellows into her color palette.  At first, one might think "that's way too much color!"  However, the end result was pure genius!  The color combination popped, not only in the floral arrangements, but also and made the blank canvas that is St. Thomas explode with personality!  If you're trying to find a fun, outside-the-box color palette for your wedding, I highly recommend experimenting with these!  :)
The ceremony was held at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington.  The location was right by Bradley Creek and could not have been a prettier location for an outdoor wedding.  We even had a fallen tree limb (this thing was HUGE) provide perfect coverage so that the Groom wouldn't be able to see the Bride until just the right moment....
Following the ceremony, guests made their way over to St. Thomas Preservation Hall for the afternoon reception.  Guests were greeted with mini corn dogs, pop corn and home-made Sangria (Yum!).
Special thanks to Rebecca Mill of The Indie Image Photography for sharing these fab shots!

The Groom's Best Man and Grandfather used to grow dahlia's, so these special flowers were everywhere!

Cassidy's invitation set the stage for their carnival themed celebration!

Calendar guest book - guests were asked to sign on a date that was special/meaningful to them!
mini corn dogs
fresh popped popcorn!  made the whole place smell amazing!
Orange and fuchsia is my new favorite color combos!
how fun is this wedding cake?!
after the cake was cut, guests were treated to fresh cotton candy.  Wouldn't be a carnival wedding without the cotton candy?!
Candy apples with personalized tattoos topped off Cassidy & Derrick's carnival wedding perfectly!
Cassidy and Derrick - thank you SO much for giving Premier the opportunity to be a part of your very special and FUN wedding!!  We wish you all the best in life and many many years of visits to the NC State Fair!  ;-)
