Cassidy + Derrick 4.21.12

What's more fun that the State Fair?!  Popcorn, candy apples, funnel cakes, fried Twinkies... the list is endless.  And this is exactly what Cassidy and Derrick where thinking of when they started planning their wedding!  Both of their families LOVE the fair!  They look forward to it every year, so naturally the happy couple wanted to try encorporating their mutual love affair into their special day.
Cassidy did an amazing job of mixing purples, viberant fucshias, oranges, and yellows into her color palette.  At first, one might think "that's way too much color!"  However, the end result was pure genius!  The color combination popped, not only in the floral arrangements, but also and made the blank canvas that is St. Thomas explode with personality!  If you're trying to find a fun, outside-the-box color palette for your wedding, I highly recommend experimenting with these!  :)
The ceremony was held at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington.  The location was right by Bradley Creek and could not have been a prettier location for an outdoor wedding.  We even had a fallen tree limb (this thing was HUGE) provide perfect coverage so that the Groom wouldn't be able to see the Bride until just the right moment....
Following the ceremony, guests made their way over to St. Thomas Preservation Hall for the afternoon reception.  Guests were greeted with mini corn dogs, pop corn and home-made Sangria (Yum!).
Special thanks to Rebecca Mill of The Indie Image Photography for sharing these fab shots!

The Groom's Best Man and Grandfather used to grow dahlia's, so these special flowers were everywhere!

Cassidy's invitation set the stage for their carnival themed celebration!

Calendar guest book - guests were asked to sign on a date that was special/meaningful to them!
mini corn dogs
fresh popped popcorn!  made the whole place smell amazing!
Orange and fuchsia is my new favorite color combos!
how fun is this wedding cake?!
after the cake was cut, guests were treated to fresh cotton candy.  Wouldn't be a carnival wedding without the cotton candy?!
Candy apples with personalized tattoos topped off Cassidy & Derrick's carnival wedding perfectly!
Cassidy and Derrick - thank you SO much for giving Premier the opportunity to be a part of your very special and FUN wedding!!  We wish you all the best in life and many many years of visits to the NC State Fair!  ;-)

  1. Really liked all these pleasing ideas of arrangements and decorations done by planner. My friend has hired an event planner for her wedding at one of the best Los Angeles wedding venues in a couple of weeks. All the preparations are done in a systematic and budgeted way.
